Many of our obstetricians and gynecologists speak English and are
used to the special requests made by foreign women having their
baby in Chile.
It is worth mentioning that the percentage of Cesarean births is
much lower in Clínica Las Condes ( 33%) in comparison to
other private clinics in Chile where the rate is generally around
60%.
Also
the number of premature births is lower. This is because the team

In Chile it
is customary for women to have a yearly gynecological check-up
which will include a cervical smear (known as the Papanicolau).
This will be performed by your gynecologist, in the presence of
a female auxiliary.
